Met with McGill and Partners advisors at Warburg Pincus who were amazing. Then the CFO, COO and CHRO in the UK. All were smart, sharp and impressive. Then I met the founder, Steve McGill and his partner whose name I refuse to remember at a hotel, and had the worst interview experience in my 20 year career. Was asked questions that made no sense and it was clear then had neither read my CV or understood anything about my extensive experience. To this day I doubt they knew what I was there to talk about. Asked questions about cloud based cyber security that had ZERO to do with the role. Swallowed my coffee quickly and left those clowns at the table - never looked back.
