My worst experience.
I prepared thoroughly for this interview, and the recruiter had already received my CV in advance. When she called me, I began by explaining my motivation to join McArthurGlen Group and shared that I was eager to explore UK HR, having previously worked only in Germany. The role specifically needed someone with German Speaking abilities.
She immediately interrupted me and stated that I was not a fit for the role. For the next five minutes, she explained why she believed I was unsuitable—without giving me the chance to introduce myself or highlight how I had studied UK employment law and developed strong adaptability skills.
Since she had reviewed my CV beforehand, I was surprised that this came as news to her, even though my background was clearly outlined. She went so far as to tell me I had wasted her time. I have never encountered someone so dismissive and disrespectful in a professional setting.
