I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Appleton, WI) in Sep 2013
Interview
There is an oral interview with both the Office manager and the lead therapist. It goes really well since people in this line of work are very compassionate. Following the oral interview, there is a hands on interview during which you are required to give a one hour massage to the lead therapist so you can demonstate your techniques/knowledge. In my experience, it went very well. At that location I did find that they were willing to hire therapists who needed additional training and gave feedback after the hands on portion of the interview. Individuals were hired and given a chance to improve their skiils.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked how I had dealt with "difficult" situations that had come up in dealing with people in the past
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Venice, FL) in Jul 2025
Interview
Interview process included an in-person interview with the manager of the location I applied to. After sitting down with the manager and discussing my experience and availability, I completed a practical to demonstrate my skills. I was offered a position at the end of the interview and then moved forward in the onboarding. Overall exactly what one would expect when interviewing for a massage therapy position.
Phone then in-person interview then a Practical. It was quick and easy. The interview went well. And was informative. Interview was not difficult at all. Got to also tour the building
They asked me some good questions we also toured the clinic and they gave me a run down of how they operate day to day. I got alot of questions about how I would respond in certain situations.
