I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Marsh (New York, NY) in Jun 2018
Interview
Eight or nine Skype interviews with various employees. One editorial test of poor, non-probative construction. One in-person meeting with a team leader. After final interview, save for a couple of boilerplate, "hang on while we sort it out" emails from HR, I heard nothing. Three months after process ended, I reached out again, got an "oops sorry" email that basically said they wanted to hire two but could only take one due to budget "restraints" (because this budget wears a seatbelt, apparently).
Side notes: A number of my interviews were scheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, and pushback was not well taken. When HR scheduled me for an 8 a.m. interview, and I told them I couldn't accommodate that because I had to take my son to school at that hour, their response was, "Can't you get a buddy to do it?" I mean, really. What is this, "Mad Men"?
I want to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am really sorry that your experience with the Marsh & McLennan interview process did not match our intention of providing the best candidate experience. We are using your feedback to address all the places we missed delivering for you.
