      Manager Interview

      Nov 28, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Marley Spoon

      Interview

Applied online. A phone interview was set up and then canceled, and I was sent a skills test instead. Expecting applicants to take time out of their lives to perform a skills test with no conversation and no information is absurd and indicates a company that does not consider the personal time of its employees as valuable, and a company that seems to have delusions of grandeur when it comes to its desirability as an employer. The top companies in the country - if not the world - don't expect applicants to perform free work assignments without ever having a conversation about the role - so why does this start-up in a notoriously high-failure vertical think they can do so?
