I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Marine Stewardship Council (Berlin) in Dec 2022
Interview
Incredibly unprofessional behavior. I was invited to 2 interviews and after the last, I was asked to work on a case study. Upon sending it in, I received an answer that they will check it out and I will receive a call to discuss the results after holidays. Instead, I received no answer for two months, after which I received an email completely unrelated to the case study, asking about the courses I took at my University (5 years ago). After sending in the email containing these courses, I never received a single reply again. Very rude behavior, clearly this is not how you treat a fellow human being, and especially not in a supposed professional setting.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Marine Stewardship Council (Washington, DC) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview process was straight forward, no follow up after initial interview of any sort. Sent a link to a meeting, picked a time, interview lasted about 30-45 minutes and was told someone would call if I was selected or not selected.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Marine Stewardship Council (London, England) in May 2024
Interview
This charity gave me one option to attend an interview at short notice (two days to put together a 10 minute presentation over the bank holiday weekend). When I asked for more time they insisted that it needed to be before the hiring manager went on holiday and suggested an interview a day later. One week on and I still haven't had any feedback despite being promised it by the end of the week. The PR woman asked me what I thought of their brand and values (after I'd already critiqued their previous campaign for free as part of the presentation). If this is how they conduct themselves then I suggest their brand health needs a lot of attention. The panel did nothing to sell me this role which I only applied for because I thought it would be interesting (the salary wasn't good) until I pressed them about why they enjoyed working for the charity. What a shocking experience to be ghosted by people with so little enthusiasm or manners. It's incredible how many organisations forget that interviewing is a two way thing. I have withdrawn from the process and have no desire to work for this unprofessional, uninspiring charity when there are so many worthwhile ones out there.
