Very quick and painless process. I have applied online for few vm positions and I have received an email about 2 weeks later to schedule phone interview. Lovely and very informal chat about why I applied, salary expectations and notice period. Few days later I had skype interview with one of the recruitment team member. Shortly after I've been scheduled for another skype interview with Head of VM. A week later I've got an email that I didn't get to the final round (swot of the shop, current trends and practical assessment) but I have replied I am still interested in vm position within the company for future reference. It was an amazing surprise when a week later I have been contacted by recruitment team with availability of another vm position and possible interview the next day. I had 1:1 interview with Store Manager and General VM Manager. They had prepared questions sheet that they had to go through with me but it was mostly about commercial awareness of the vm tasks and getting to know me as I didn't have fashion background so they had to make sure I was suitable for the role. All was in very professional manner, ladies were absolutely great and with very friendly approach. I have been offered the position but I had to decline it as I had a chance for career progress within a different company. Otherwise I would definitely go for Mango. It seemed that the company really cares who they hire and knowing the brand and being passionate about it is very important. Advice would be to be confident, talkative but also showing that you are very hands on person and you are not afraid to work hard. Make sure you know the trends, you are coming across as an easy going person and you know that being vm is also being commercial, handling stock and working physically. I would say Mango really cares about career progression and they do open other paths to the people who want to move forward within the company. Overall great experience with the people who know what they are doing.
