Today I was approached through LinkedIn by a Recruiter from PRO Unlimited for a job at Facebook in Dublin.
- The first e-mail was filled with spelling and grammar mistakes. So badly that I contacted facebook to confirm the identity of this recruiter as I was convinced it was a Phishing attempt.
- Furtermore, she only wanted my CV and didn't spend a single word on asking what my ambitions, plans or needs were in terms of my career. She didn't refer back to my profile or gave me any link between the job she offered and the experience I have.
Finally the message was so badly structured I didn't even understand whether she was recruiting me for Facebook or for Facebook.
Basically I refused and mentioned the points above as a reason to not want to engage.
If I am to be recruited I want it to be by someone who cares to spend time on the communication and time on me and what makes me tick.
