The interviews were weirdly easy.
All interviews took place over Zoom. The strategy director/leader, showed consistent interest throughout the process until the second interview, where we met with the CEO. During the second interview, I brought up concerns about consistent negative reviews on Glassdoor, and I also connected with four former employees to learn more about the experience. Former employees had mixed opinions about their experiences. During the second interview, the CEO was nice and acknowledged the company's issues. Also, I noticed the same position was open last year and reopened eight months later, so I asked about it. First, the CEO said he didn't remember, then the strategy director/leader said they continuously post jobs to keep resumes on file, and then the CEO said they did hire someone, but the person didn't work out. A new concern arose when the strategy director/leader couldn't handle my question well and came up with the first thing that came to mind, and this weird behavior can assume a lot of nuances.
Overall, they were nice. My main concern remained how the strategy director/leader handles the people she oversees, stress, and difficult conversations. They want people in the office old-school style.
