I applied once 30+ days ago but was neber contacted. I applied again on the 11th, which was a Friday, when I saw the position again on LinkedIn.
I was contacted the following Monday by the Property Manager and asked if it was a good time for a phone interview. It was, so we proceeded. She asked me about why I think my experience is a good fit for this role and where I would like to see myself grow, how I handle difficult people, etc. She let me know a blazer and dress pants were mandatory to have on hand, though my blouse would be supplied, and asked me if that was okay as well as if I was comfortable knowing I would work weekends but have two days off during the week. By the end of the call, she told me she was interested in having an in-person interview and wanted to know if the next day would be good. It was.
I was early for the interview. We laughed a lot, and she asked me how I felt it was appropriate to handle and to manage people as a whole, how I have handled difficult situations or people in my professional life, what I think makes someone lovely to work with essentially, etc. She brought in the Assistant Manager as well, and we all talked about our lives in addition/relation to the interview questions I was being asked.
She let me know before I left that I had been refreshing and that she hoped to have an official offer letter to me by the next day, Wednesday! She called me that next day to offer me the job verbally, and that night, I received the animal containing the conditional offer letter (pending my background check and drug test that I know I will pass).
I am so excited to get started and thankful to have moved into a position within a company that not only provides insurance but a 401(k) as well. It seems so hard to come by as of late.
The Property Manager, whom I am so excited to work with, contiously reiterated that a fun and and lighthearted atmosphere was a must in this position, and having only worked in relatively toxic places all my life, I am so thankful for that.
I am so grateful to get started.
