Invited to visit showroom, met with hiring manager, who, after introducing the company, brands and day-to-day responsibilities for an architectural designer assigned an exercise: to design and fully specify an interior renovation project, complete with floorplan, all furnishings, and measurements, within 48 hours. Once completed, I was told it needed to be expanded, more detailing, lighting, etc. I spent another 48 hours on the exercise. After a few weeks with no word, I learned the hiring manager was fired. After being promised decision after decision, I waited three months to learn that the position was closed due to financial reasons.
