I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lumentum Operations (San Jose, CA) in Apr 2017
Interview
A phone call discussing the projects on my resume and classes I have taken. After my interviewer finished asking the questions. I asked what I was going to be working on (just to get an idea of what I was going to learn in my internship). He groaned at the question and snapped back very rudely, talking about how he does not like the work. It was rude and incredibly unprofessional. A week later I got an email saying I was rejected.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lumentum Operations (Ottawa, ON) in Nov 2023
Interview
Was mainly behavioural, with the 'technical' aspect of the interview covering surface level topics on agile, bug handling, testing and overall development technologies.
No specific 'leetcode' style questions were asked. Was offered position after 1 round of interviewing.

Question 1
How would you troubleshoot lab equipment, to ensure correct measurement and data persistence?
The interview process is very dependent on the manager whose team you will be joining. There's an initial screening with HR which I received through a referral from a friend.
