Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and had matched me to a job based on my profile. Asked me some questions about my employment history. Scheduled me for an online interview/assessment, which consisted of recording 3-minute responses to generic interview questions on my webcam and then taking a generic 90-minute, language-agnostic programming challenge. I was not told up front that I was interviewing for s.com as a contractor and not for the subcontracting company they were trying to hire for, and I felt that the interview process was intentionally misleading about this; the interview process seemed designed to make me believe I was interviewing directly for the company offering the contract. After the interview, recruiter told me I did "really well" and he'd be reaching out to me soon for a follow-up interview, but I never heard anything back from him.
