I applied in Fall 2016 and passed the tests and want to oral boards. I was shocked at how down to earth the interviewers were and it was fairly relaxed. However, definitely know your stuff before you attend. Research the department, speak with current department personnel if you are able, and understand all aspects of community policing. I made it quite far in this process but was not granted an offer in the end.

Interview
It was a very atypical interview process. They very open, kind, and laid back. It kind of shocked me, but I did well and moved on in the hiring process. If you are interviewing with this department, do not be nervous, but do your homework and know how you'd react in certain situations.
