      Accounts Executive Interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Lincstech Circuit (Singapore)

      Interview

Interview process started with getting a 4–5 page application form from the security guard to fill in on-site. This could have been provided before the interview day to save time. The form also asked for details such as weight, which felt irrelevant. I was contacted through an agent and first had a brief interview with HR. After that, the accounting manager joined the interview and I had to introduce myself once again. If shortlisted, there would also be a second-round interview with the senior HR. There was heavy emphasis throughout the interview on the need for overtime, weekend work, and working on the 1st of every month. When I asked whether replacement leave would be provided for working on the 1st, the response felt unclear. HR mentioned that leave may be given on a case-by-case basis, though the explanation felt rather indirect. Working hours are 8am to 5:30pm. Company transport is available from certain locations. HR was unable to provide the exact bus timings during the interview. The interviewers repeatedly highlighted that the role involves managing payroll for over 900 staff, despite payroll seemingly being handled through a payroll system, so it was unclear why this point was emphasized so heavily. I had already informed the agent about my notice period beforehand, and the agent mentioned this had been communicated to HR. However, it appeared that this information was not relayed internally before the interview. Overall, the experience felt quite time-consuming and could have been communicated more clearly upfront.
