I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Life Time in Jan 2016
Interview
I applied online through a job search site--Indeed. I received a Phone Screening within the first week. After that there was a trip to the location to see the facility, and a few classes were taken. There was a phone interview and then an Interview with the general manager

Question 1
Have you ever worked a job before where it was commission/sales dependent?
Interview process was more extensive than other fitness jobs I’ve applied for in the past. You come visit the club, interview with studio lead and then lead general. Interview process was lovely, super welcoming and thorough to ensure you will be a good fit.

Question 1
Make sure you familiarize yourself with Life Time’s mission statement
Kind of a long process, but good overall. Each person kept me up to date and asked me how I was feeling about the process. I had to complete a total of 3 auditions.

What’s the lifetime mission statement and what does it mean to you
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Life Time in Sep 2023
Interview
Very lengthy waiting game. I applied, never heard back. Then a former client of mine referred me to gym management and I immediately started the interview process. It's very much "hurry up and wait." I had an in person interview, then took a few classes to get a feel for their programming and "brand." Then I taught a demo class and got great feedback from the head trainers. Awkward part of teaching a demo class is that there are other candidates applying for the same job in that class, and the hiring team encourages you to stick around to take the other candidates' demo classes. I was under the impression there weren't many candidates applying for the same open position because up until the demo class, it felt very personalized. I was the one constantly following up about next steps, it seemed disorganized from management. I received a verbal "we want to hire you" and what I was told was a final interview with one more staff member. They rescheduled and cancelled my final interview twice. I asked why and they said it was because they had some tenured staff who wanted to take on more classes, so they no longer had availability for me. It wasn't an official "no"...feels like are basically keeping me on the back burner.
