      Brand and Culture Manager Interview

      May 7, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Liaise in May 2025

      Interview

I applied a couple weeks ago and last week friday 2nd I received a call from the recruiter asking me if I were free for an interview after they had looked at my cv and felt I had the right skills. Unfortunately, it was difficult to take the call as I was out but as soon I was able to call back I did. As the recruiter was on the phone they sent me a text to say they would call me back when they finished. Eventually we managed to speak and I provided a brief overview of my experience and how it related to the position I was applying too. The recruiter also shared their interest in my podcast as they said it was something the company was looking to develop so it was great that I had experience in this area. In the evening after 7ish I received a text message from the recruiter saying as the bank holiday was approaching they would call me on the tuesday after. On the saturday I recieved a invite to connect via LinkedIn from the recruiter I persume ahead of the call. As I don't normally add people on Linkedin unless I work with them or have done, I politely declined. Tuesday came and went with no call but I did receive another text from the recruiter saying the hiring manager is really interest and would be keen to meet me. The recruiter then went on to say they would call me the next day to arrange dates and times for an interview. Today came and went with no call and to add insult to injury I have seen the same role I applied to reposted on Indeed. Thank you for wasting my time and ghosting instead of following through with arranging an interview.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that the communication around your interview process didn’t meet your expectations. At Liaise, we aim to provide a respectful, timely, and transparent recruitment journey for every candidate. It’s clear from your feedback that we fell short in this instance, and we sincerely apologise for the frustration this may have caused. While we were actively engaged in securing interview availability from the hiring manager — which can sometimes take longer than we would like — we appreciate that this delay may not have been communicated clearly. We understand how important timely updates are, and we're reviewing our internal communication process to improve how we manage candidate expectations during scheduling.
