Contacted company at local job fair. Left resume with HR rep. Was called next day to arrange interview. DRS is a defense contractor that bought out Metric Systems, a defense contractor that started out as a mom/pop shop and grew to multi-million dollar business. The company is ISO9000 certified. HR people friendly and professional. Interviewed with Production Control Supervisor. Toured the company and met a few people. Interviewer gave an overview of what the company produced, how they produced it, type of MRP system, production flow, etc. I asked key questions related to production i.e. routers used, how material was released to production, access to blueprints, adherence to blueprints and process, etc. I explained my experience in manufacturing/production and how I felt I could help them achieve their goals.
