They had reached out to me about a marketing position. All was well past the phone interview and in person interview. They even treated me to lunch meeting. I provided my salary expectations and thought we'd be ready to sign shortly. When the offer came in, I was disappointed that they were offering me $10K less than what we verbally agreed on. There were no qualms when we first had salary discussion, so I was surprised to see something so different. When I tried to negotiate (like any job candidate should), the offer was rescinded immediately. I was shocked. My entire process was with the leaders themselves and no HR counterpart, which spoke volumes to the leadership that happened in the company. So glad it didn't work out.
