L&T Ltd. holds two rounds of screening in campus placements. Eligibilty was very decent 60% or 6.5 cgpa for Mech., Elec., Civil in B. Tech. First round was Apti + English + Technical comprising 120 questions in 120 mins. Equal share of 40 ques each section. It was decent. Difficulty was moderate to easy but many found problem in time management. It was necessary to attend around 75–80% questions with fair accuracy as there is no negative marking. The shortlisted were sent individual mails with their time slots for 1 to 1 interview in MS Teams roughly 2–3 weeks after the written test.
Interview Experience for Mechanical:
1 HR & 2 senior Executives of the company. Very friendly panel in my case and will definitely make you comfortable. Initial questions like are you willing to relocate PAN India. Will be able to work in any remote locations?

What are the basic gear production techniques?
What is/are the surface finishing operations used hence forth?
What do you mean by surface finish? What is then surface Roughness or What is the measure of Surface Finish?
What do you understand by Lapping operation? What is the range of surface finish/ roughness?
Some questions related to Machining of Titanium & why is it difficult as my project is centred along Titanium Alloys.
What is your favourite subject? Be very prepared with more than 2 subjects. It is very likely they will ask you apart from those you mention.

The whole interview process was standard. First round was on Quants, Logical Reasoning and technical mcq s. You have to clear minimum cut off set by the company. Then coding question was there it was not mandatory. But you have to clear if you want higher package. Second and third round was Technical and general hr respectively.
