I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Language Stars (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2017
Interview
There were several steps in order to get to the interview process, which were unnecessary if they screened for what they were actually looking for. The first thing I did was email and describe how interested and qualified was, they automatically moved me along to their online application process, phone interview, and then they wanted me to make a 10 minute video pretending to teach German using their format. After all these steps, they decided that they actually didn’t really need a German teacher in the 20 mile radius, however there were 2 locations right outside rhat would work but only on a part time basis. If they had told me there availability from the start, all of this could have been avoided.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Language Stars (Hinsdale, IL) in Jun 2017
Interview
They called me to and asked I'm interested in the position that I applied for and if I've ever worked with children. They asked if I can speak native French. Then I was sent an email that has instructions on how to do 2 audition videos. After I submitted the videos, I had another interview over google where I had to act as if I'm in a classroom live. Later a native speaking representative called me to have a conversation and see my fluency.
