I emailed my resume when I saw an ad in the newspaper. Within ten minutes, I received a phone call from an associate in survey asking to arrange a job interview. WIthin a few days, I was sitting with the field crew coordinator and the associate from the EP office, as well as the head of survey from the NY office. It was a standard interview, no real surprises.
