I interviewed with Lakeshore Recycling Systems for a network engineering position and went through three rounds of interviews. Each round was handled fairly well, and the interviewers were professional and engaging. However, after completing the 3rd round of interviews, I received no updates for over a week. I had to initiate follow-up communication myself, and it took another full week after that just to be told they had chosen another candidate. For a process that spanned multiple rounds and required significant preparation and time investment, the post-interview communication was subpar. It’s disappointing when companies can’t close the loop respectfully, especially with candidates who made it deep into the process. A timely and transparent update should be the bare minimum.
