Unorganised, opaque. Was a bit of a kerfuffle getting the interview sorted and in the end the head of ML didn't even turn up and the CEO did instead. I had a single face to face introductory interview, a few coding questions then an out of the blue rejection. I take working for a startup seriously, so I asked some honest questions about the direction of the company and the CEO was unable to justify a lot of the workings of the company e.g. overhiring of biologists/chemists with almost no tech staff hired despite the 'ai driven' nature of the company. No developed strategy to maintain cashflow, and a very high burn rate for a startup. Kinda shocking to reject an interviewee for taking a serious interest in the startup...
