I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroeschell (Arlington Heights, IL) in Aug 2016
Interview
Met with CFO and CEO to discuss company policies and procedures, discussed previous experience, discussed current events in the construction industry. Very easy going interview, felt very comfortable interacting with the company's executives.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kroeschell (Peoria, IL) in Nov 2014
Interview
I was called to set up an interview with Exec. Vice President, one-on-one basis, and will follow up with another phone call to move on to the next step or reject. I was interviewed on a Thursday, and expected to be called the following Monday. I received a call back the same day my first interview was held, and to return for a second interview with EVP, Pres. of Operations, and VP Human Resources. Again, I was told that I would receive a phone call, for the job offer or declination, in a couple days, but received the job offer that evening of my second interview.
Interview questions were basic, such as previous employment, job skills, people skills, personality, etc.,
Unprofessional, interview process consisted of talking as though I was a republican, the boss seems to hate democrats.
Then we talked a lot about cars and motorcycles, very little about the actual work going on. I just let him talk up a storm. He seemed to have very strong opinions on issues, like the government etc. This should have been my first red flag. Strong opinions usually mean the person is a fanatic or extremist, which means they are very hard to get along with as they tend to be easily offended..
