      Forward Deployed Engineer Interview

      Jun 30, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Kore.ai in Jun 2026

      Interview

I had someone reach out for an interview after applying and I was initially very excited. That excitement shifted pretty quickly when I was met with an initial round where the recruiter felt like they were annoyed to even be on the call. No enthusiasm and very little information about the role itself was given throughout the call even after several questions regarding the role and the culture at the company. Each question I asked was basically met with "that is more of a questions for the next interview/ technical team". I was told I would hear back in a day or two and followed up when day three came around only to be ghosted. I followed up two more times in a very respectful way and unsurprisingly was met with no response. I firmly believe that company culture is reflected through every member of staff and after reading reviews on the culture and company it didn't surprise me that they would ghost a potential candidate for the job. The bar is low for responding and letting a candidate know that they are no longer being considered... it doesn't take 12-15 days after a recruiter round to make a decision. When someone takes the time to speak with your organization, at least have some bear minimum respect and let them know instead of ghosting them for two weeks and following up with a templated email after they reach out for the fourth time.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Basic questions about experience... very little information in regard to the actual role in the first round. Basically every question I had was for someone else...

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent interview experience. First and foremost, we want to sincerely apologize. What you described—from the lack of enthusiasm during your initial call to the communication gap that followed—falls incredibly short of the standard we set for our candidate experience. We completely agree with you: company culture is reflected in every single interaction, and first impressions matter. Our talent acquisition team aims to be helpful, transparent, and respectful of every applicant's time. It is clear we missed the mark in your case, both in providing meaningful insights about the role and in delivering timely updates. "Ghosting" or leaving candidates in limbo is never our policy, and we are actively addressing this internally to ensure our follow-up process is as prompt and respectful as it should be. We know it takes time and effort to prepare for and engage in our interview process, and we deeply regret that your time wasn't respected. While we understand this experience has left a negative impression, we would appreciate the opportunity to learn more so we can improve. If you are open to it, please feel free to reach myself directly at kristi.grassley@kore.com so we can look into this specific situation. We wish you the absolute best in your job search and your future career endeavors.
