      HR Generalist Interview

      Jul 29, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Knight Frank (London, England) in Jul 2019

      Interview

Applied online, received a call inviting me to a recruitment event which was just a presentation about the company and a networking opportunity with staff. Staff then decided to put me forward for a HR generalist role. Met someone in the department and had a short, informal interview in their cafe which was mostly asking about my strengths and weaknesses, and about the job. I had not been told what job I was being put forward for (just that it was in HR) and was not given a job description so some of the more specific questions caught me by surprise and I did not feel prepared enough for the interview. Interviewer had no idea I had attended the recruitment day and had been picked for the role and not given a JD so wasn't that impressed. Received a call a few days later saying they were picking someone else for the role and to apply again in 6 months.
