I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kin Community (Santa Monica, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
I had a phone interview that lasted about 30 minutes. Then I had to do an unpaid design test where I had to redesign about 4 slides in a deck and also design 2 looks for a mock youtube channel. After that, I went to an in-person interview where I met with 3 people (one of whom was the person from the phone interview).
I followed up soon thereafter and didn't hear back. I followed up again 2 weeks after the interview and again, never heard back.
I personally think that if you have a potential candidate do 2 interviews and a design test the least you can do is send a generic rejection e-mail. It's called professionalism.
