I had a disappointing experience with Kenvue. I initially applied and was contacted four weeks later to interview for a six-month contingent role (red flag #1). Despite being well-qualified with the required education, experience, and a clear online portfolio, I felt unfairly judged during a panel interview, which also felt unnecessary for the contingent position. The process reflected more of a “horn effect” of my birth status than an objective review of my abilities. Afterward, I was ghosted without explanation. I want to have faith in J&J’s new company that my treatment was not due to my identity as a Black American woman, but the experience left me with serious doubts that I'm hoping could change one day with the mindset of respect for all.
