I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Kate's Paperie in Sep 2010
Interview
The interview process was quite straight forward. Advanced educational background was evaluated but not needed for all job openings. If you were referred by a current employee and they had a good relationship with a manager, you usually got the job. Laid back atmosphere when interviewing. Usually you met with two managers with one actually asking the questions and the other taking notes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you do if you saw that a store employee was stealing. Would you report the incident immediately without hesitation or wait in fear that you would be labled as a whistleblower.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kate's Paperie (New York, NY) in Aug 2009
Interview
My interview was very simple based on my interpersonal skill ability as I was coming from a solid corporate environment without any retail or customer service experience. The work culture appear happy and positive though looks were very deceiving.
