I applied online. I interviewed at Kaizen Labs (NY) (New York, NY) in Jan 2026
Interview
30-minute call with the recruiter (asking about general experience, fit for role, felt casual), then 1-hour coding assessment with two members of the team (15 minutes chatting/intros, 45 minutes for two coding problems). I was out of practice and did not make it past the coding assessment.

Question 1
CoderPad interview asking to fix a bug and implement a feature. The challenge to me was absorbing the architecture of the application while solving the problems at hand.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kaizen Labs (NY) in Nov 2025
Interview
I went through 3 rounds of interviewing only for the company to remove the job and ghost me.
I made it to the final round where I was asked to give a 45min presentation, and afterwards, they called me and said they were very impressed but their priorities changed and they no longer had a full-time job. They asked if I could do part-time work to full-time but would not make me an offer with rates, hours, details, timeline, etc.
They asked me for my rate and when I gave them a standard consulting rate, they said it was too high but wouldn't provide what they were willing to pay. They asked if I was flexible but still wouldn't provide an actual offer or timeline to full-time. I just told them that when they had a concrete, full-time offer, I would evaluate it, and they just ghosted me.

Question 1
Why are you interested in Kaizen? Have you worked cross-functionally with sales and design?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kaizen Labs (NY) in Apr 2024
Interview
Challenging but positive. Well structured and left with an impression that the company has potential. Mock discovery was for special event permitting even though recruiter said it was a parks and rec company.
