HR round was followed by an interview with the hiring manager. I felt the round with the hiring manager was excellent as at the end of the interview the exact words said to me were “we are so happy that you are a part of our industry and we hope to see you on the team “ only to be told over a week later that they won’t be moving forward .
I understand priorities change but it’s probably better to be ambivalent at the end of an interview versus leading a candidate on. It’s tough to work with people who don’t mean what they say and don’t say what they mean

Interview
Multiple rounds of interview. Nice lady who does the HR screening. The team that I met has a banking/corporate feel about them. Didn’t feel like a good fit for me and suspected that would be the end of it. I was very surprised that they said I was through to the next round which was an assignment. I did the assignment and was then told they would not be taking it further with me. I think they knew before this stage it wasn’t a goer but went with it anyway to get some info/ideas out of me that they could use later should they wish. Unfortunately a growing number of firms in web 3 are using this tactic now and it’s a shame that this happened. My advice to others reading this is alarm bells should be going off if you’ve been asked to do an assignment but didn’t feel your prior interview(s) went extremely well. Don’t let companies use you like this.

What about your experience tells us you can work at a layer 1?

Interview
We had an interesting and pleasant interview with other engineers which I enjoyed a lot. They helped me when I had questions and I heard (after the interview) that they were satisfied with me.
The next round was with HR. They asked me about my career and learnings/hardships. It was not that great because the questions seemed to be a bit repetitive and after a while, pointless. They didn't want to continue with me and I was very sad because I didn't receive any kind of feedback even after I asked and the recruiting agent asked for me, as well.
