I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at KNIME (Berlin) in Apr 2025
Interview
I was initially referred by a former colleague. The hiring manager contacted me, and we had a casual chat to get to know each other and talk about the company and the position. Afterwards, I did a coding challenge, which was interesting and relevant to the position. There was also a call with 4-5 developers, where I presented the challenge, and answered various questions. In the end, I met one of the founders for a short call. Even though it was a bit of a lengthy process, everyone was transparent and friendly, and the product seemed quite challenging and attractive.

My recent interview with this company left a lasting negative impression. The unprofessional email notifying me of their decision to choose another candidate was disappointing. Moreover, despite requesting feedback on the challenge, the lack of any response left me questioning the thoroughness of their evaluation process. This experience has undoubtedly cast the company in an unfavorable light, making it clear that professionalism and consideration for candidates are lacking. It was a regrettable and disheartening encounter that leaves me with a negative view of the company.
