Got a call from recruiter and they scheduled a coderbyte round . Initially they informed it will 2 questions for 2 hours . But later they changed it to 2 hours 30 mins with 6 questions .
I completed 5 out 6 questions and in that all solutions were good (test cases passed ) . But still they rejected my profile that I put more time in 2 question to solve due to which I got only 50% marks for those question . Due to that I wasn’t able to clear there criteria of 70% total marks .
They didn’t inform me that there was a time limit for each question . After when I approached the recruiter, they checked with people who set the pattern . Those guys put 50% marks for correct solution (all teas cases passed ) and 50% marks if question is completed in time frame .
HR or anyone didn’t inform about this constraint . Even after doing 5 out 6 questions correctly they rejected my profile . It was confirmed by their Hr .
If I was aware about this I would not have have wasted my 2 and half hour time
