      Lead Java Developer Interview

      Jul 4, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Kuala Lumpur
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Johnson Matthey (Kuala Lumpur)

      Interview

I applied on their Lead Java Developer role that is based in Kuala Lumpur. A talent acquisition partner from UK reached out to schedule a screening call. First hint of unprofessionalism is that wrong role is mentioned in the email. Seems to be a template issue. Shouldn't we supposed to read our email at least twice before sending. Second hint, I received the meeting invite without any email content, but just a team's link. So, here comes the scheduled interview, she came in late and first question is if I require employment visa (as a foreign national in Malaysia, I do). Unfortunately, there are not able to do so because they are still new in the country. This is totally fine, but this kind of information should be written on the job post or even just ask on the initial email sent before scheduling an invite.
