Microsoft Teams video interview with two interviewers, lasted just under half an hour. Prior to the interview I had a phone call with HR for a quick chat and to arrange a date/time for the interview. I was advised that it was not going to be a technical interview, it was a competency interview. So I was then totally on the back foot when half the interview was technical questions which I hadn't prepared for. It annoyed me and I felt embarrassed by this, I explained this to the interviewers and they were nice about it, but of course it's embarrassing not being able to answer a series of questions.
Saying that, I didn't mind that I didn't get any further than this stage. They seemed to expect a lot from graduates, yet they don't provide any training for them. One of the interviewers said - I found this very odd - that if he were to be hit by a bus tomorrow, I'd be expected to move into that role, but that of course I couldn't just yet. Very strange..!
