I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Java City in Aug 2011
Interview
I sent in an application and got a call a couple days later to come interview face to face. He asked about my food experience, my availability, and told me I could start the week after. Easy, painless interview.
The hiring and interview process was made more simple because I was well-acquainted with someone who already worked at the site. The Java City was located in a University and, as a student of the University, it helped in the interview process. Also, the recommendation helped to make the management feel like they knew me. I was hired on the spot.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Java City (Tempe, AZ) in Sep 2011
Interview
I was a referral from a former employee and they hired me after a two person group interview, with two interviewers. They interviewed me in the MU of ASU. It was an easy going interview, I was just myself and they hired me. Although afterwards I found out that they didn't hire the other girl because she refused to take out her facial piercing for the interview. At the time they didn't know I had gauges because my hair was covering it. That manager is gone now though.
