Standard questions
- Talking about company ethos and prospects for progression within the company. Interviewers were friendly if a bit unprofessional. Would not recommend as a firm based upon my experience in the interview.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Jackson Hewitt (Wheat Ridge, CO) in Feb 2026
Interview
Extremely unprofessional and unethical. The manager for their Wheat Ridge, CO location 1608 was a no call, no show for our in-person interview and didn't even come into the office that day. After 40 min of waiting, another employee contacted him (I was provided no contact info, just automated emails). He then called me for a very informal interview that seemed to go well. We discussed start dates and training, including next steps.
Right after, he emailed me with directions to personally purchase a federal PTIN license as a condition of the job, saying I would be compensated after a period of working there. I followed his instructions and submitted the license as directed, but he ghosted my follow-up texts and I never heard anything more. Be cautious before spending your own money!
