I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Jackpocket (Santa Clara, CA) in Jul 2024
Interview
The interview process was fine, a phone screen with a recruiter and an interview with an EM, both were profession and nice. The issue was/is the job description. On LinkedIn the position is listed as backend and entry level, the position is neither. The listing on their job board only mentions elixir and sql. There is apparently a large amount of UX/UI and css work also entailed that isn't listed in the job description. The poorly described duties take away from what was otherwise a great interviewing experience, because the candidate can find themselves ultimately answering questions around job duties they didn't know were entailed

I applied online. I interviewed at Jackpocket in Feb 2024
Interview
Phone Screen, followed by 3 rounds of interviews. The team seemed great to work with - very organized and most importantly of all kind. All interviews were behavioral or conversational. I was a bit nervous in one of them, and didn't feel like I sold myself well, which could be why I didn't advance.
Overall, the team seemed cohesive and attentive.

Interview
A recruiter reached out initially a few days after I applied for the position. He sent a link for a Google Sheets technical assessments that I completed the day after and sent back. He replied back a week later asking to then complete a Postgres assessment, which I complied within 2 days. No further responses since.
