      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JT4 (Las Vegas, NV)

      Interview

Applied for the position online thru a third-party website. Was told twice that they were not interested. Finally on the 3rd time of submitting my application they contacted me about 2 weeks later. Had a initial interview with an engineer. Very friendly and laid back. It was a very in - depth electronic theory interview. I then received an email about 3 weeks later inviting me to an in-person interview here in their Las Vegas building. The interview consisted of 3 people. It was a very laid back friendly interview. They asked me a lot about my background then went into electronic theory again but this time even more in depth. I had to write equations and diagrams on a white board. I left feeling really good about how it went. The next day I received a phone call informing me they are interested and I passed their desks, and that it just needed to pass security and another's desk before they could write up my offer letter. 6 days later I received the offer letter.

      Interview

My biggest mistake was not memorizing the color coded resistor that he even told me to memorize. And he had some op amps for us to figure out but i had not learned about them yet.

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JT4 (Las Vegas, NV)

      Interview

Interview consisted of a face to face meeting with a panel of four employees. Two of them were from upper management, one was an engineer, and the other an administrative assistant. Questions consisted of a combination of topics relating to both personality and technical skills/aptitude. The session had lasted about 45 minutes and was not too bad overall. I was then contacted about a week later with an offer letter. Advice: Make sure to brush up on material relating to basic electronics such as direct/alternating current theory, resistor color codes, logic gates, decimal to hex/binary conversion, identifying schematic symbols, test equipment, etc.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Q: What is the resistance value and tolerance of a 4-band resistor whose color code is green, blue, yellow, and gold? Q: What type of test equipment would you use to observe a varying signal voltage on a two dimensional plot?
