      Director Automotive PIN Consulting Interview

      Feb 9, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Costa Mesa, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JD Power (Costa Mesa, CA) in Feb 2018

      Interview

Phone screen with recruiter was standard questions. Followed by excel work sample with 7 questions requiring calculations. Phone interview with Lead slightly technical but mostly industry focused. Case study then interview to review case study answers in Excel. Interviewer supposedly forgot to give me the 3rd page with the hardest questions to prepare to present. Then requested I complete it on the fly and explain as I go through creating my analysis and answers in Excel. Tacky move if it was planned or just disorganized if it wasn't on accident. Recruiter was also disorganized. First phone interview with the Lead was sent to me 52 minutes before the interview. Not sure if they just have bad recruiting systems or if this place is just disorganized. On day of case study face to face interview they did not seem to expect me for the interview when I arrived 5 minutes before or at least didn't prepare the computer and room ahead of time. Had a start up feel without the big brains on staff.
