My interview experience with JJ Kane Auctioneers was ultimately disappointing. While everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional, the overall process felt unnecessarily long and dragged out. I went through three rounds of interviews starting in late February or early March, and I did not receive a final answer until April.
The reason I was given for not moving forward was that I did not have enough experience. That would have been understandable if it had not been discussed thoroughly in every round. If my experience was going to be an issue, I should have been removed from consideration much earlier.
What made the experience feel even more frustrating was seeing the exact same role reposted less than 24 hours after I was told I was not selected. That made the feedback feel like an excuse rather than an honest assessment.
I genuinely believed I could have added value to the team, and I was transparent from the start about my background. In the end, I felt like my time was not respected, and that is what left the most negative impression.
