Interview
I had a phone call with the recruiter and then met the president of Invoice Simple. I was promised that he will get back to me soon. I never heard back. Totally ghosted.
Problem is, that they are not sure what they are looking for and do not know which resources to hire that could help the company grow and succeed.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Invoice Simple (Vancouver, BC) in Jun 2022
Interview
Dry communication, horrible experience, scripted interview. Interviewer was from parent company.
Red flag 1: Interviewer didn't read your resume. Surprise to hear "Did you work with SaaS product?" when it's written in your resume.
Red flag 2: Open questions without context. "How you build a funnel for SaaS product?". The main idea of funnel is intermediate states. Intermediate states are defined by business process. Interviewer did not provide info about business process or any context. This question is OK, but as a part of next interview.
Red flag 3: Overwhelming info about parent company. Interviewer told nothing about mission or values but numbers how many businesses they acquired.
There were no questions about mined insights at previous job. Such questions quite common for this position but required interviewer to be in context.
Of course there was no response after interview.
I believe, I just had a bad luck and you in Invoice Simple do cool things and have a warm culture.

Interview
① Phone Screen with Talent Manager - Pretty casual and friendly, focused on personal questions (30min).
② Virtual Interview with VP Engineering - Focused on work projects/experiences and system design; little confused at how the technical Qs related to the role (agree with other review, dry and didn’t seem enthusiastic). Told at the end of the interview that wouldn’t be continuing with the process (90min).
