We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback on our interview process. I apologize if you felt that we were "clowns". I am concerned that there may be some sort of misunderstanding, as we have a strict policy not to contact current employers for references unless explicitly approved by the candidate. As far as the feedback on some of our interview questions is concerned, we ask a wide variety of questions to attempt to learn as much about the candidate, what motivates them, and what they value. We find that this helps us to make sure that we bring someone on board who is the right fit for our team and for the position. We apologize if this was uncomfortable for you, however, we do find that many candidates feel that these questions are valid and helpful during the interview process.
