I applied through other source. I interviewed at Industrial Kinetics (Downers Grove, IL) in Apr 2017
Interview
I was employed as a Mechanical Design Engineer with this company many years ago and left in good standing. I knew the CEO personally so I contacted him directly after seeing a Job listing for a Mechanical Design Engineer on their company website. He indicated that he was interested in hiring me, but then I revealed that I had been a closeted homosexual when I worked there before, but had since come out. Within 24 hours I received an email from him saying that they had no position available for me. Actually, their website had a current job listing for a Mechanical Design Engineer and a System Design Engineer. I am more than qualified for either position but was quickly dismissed and wasn't even offered an in-person interview. If I were not homosexual or had remained closeted, I'm sure I would have been asked to interview and there's a very good chance I would have been offered one of the open positions.
If you're gay, don't waste your time with this homophobic company unless you're closeted.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Industrial Kinetics (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2020
Interview
It was a short phone interview with a director. It was on the phone most likely because of the inability to meet in person because of COVID-19. It took about 30 minutes.
