Research Associate I, Biotic Stress Interview

      Aug 6, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Research Triangle Park, NC
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Indigo (Research Triangle Park, NC) in Jun 2018

      Interview

The interview took about two and a half hours. I spoke to the hiring manager, two senior scientists from the department, two of the staff scientists, and two of my potential fellow research associates, in addition to a phone interview with an associate recruiter. It was very much an interview marathon. Everyone was personable, though, and willing to answer my questions at the end. The interview questions covered every position mentioned on my resume and all sorts of things about my personal and professional history as well as my relevant skills. It's a very particular interview model, and it's a little intense. No weird trick questions, thank goodness. This was my first job interview post-graduation, and what an interview it was. I was told that they have a policy of contacting all interviewees later, whether they received an offer or not. In my case, at least, that turned out to be true. I wasn't offered the job, but they did send me an email to let me know that, which is nice.
