I applied online. I interviewed at Illumix (Redwood City, CA) in Sep 2020
Interview
The interview process was delightful all the way through. The interview process started with a typical phone screening and then proceeded into a formal on-site interview.
For background, the team at Illumix is very passionate about the future of AR and innovative technology. Each of the individuals that I interviewed with are extremely involved in the day-to-day workings at Illumix. The CEO, Kirin, is very involved with her team.
I did not get this postion. However, the communcaition I got with them during the month I was interviewing with them was done well and I would recommend this company. If you are in the process of interviewing for a position with Illumix, please be sure you are passionate about the future of the company.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Illumix (Menlo Park, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
-I applied online, got an e-mail to establish setting up a screen phone call, didn't get the call. Played phone tag for about 2 weeks, eventually someone else followed up after I stopped trying.
-A phone call with was set up, we talked for an hour (was a pleasant conversation.)
-After the phone call, they wanted on onsite interview.... my point of contact did not double-check where I lived until a day or two before the interview (address was on my resume, I assumed they were setting up travel arrangements based on previous conversations? they did not.) Since the on-site interview was at noon, I had to drive 8 hours and get a hotel to make sure I could be there on time (drove from Orange County to SF.)
-Once on site, I met some of the team and we had lunch. Afterwards, I had four one-on-one interviews (20 - 40-ish minutes with each)
-Drove back home the next day. They had offered to reimburse gas for travel, so I sent the receipts about a week after - hadn't heard back from them so I also followed up assuming I did not get the position. Didn't get it. Followed up a month later since I was never reimbursed for gas, got it the reimbursement the next day.
