Interview
There is a four part interview process based on what was shared with me at the first screening interview. Screening interview, panel interview, interview with potential supervisor, and interview with leadership after a verbal offer is given. The screening and panel interviews were fine for me, I then received an email communication that I was no longer being considered. A few months later I got an email saying "next steps in your application" and asked me for a third interview the next day. I took it and asked for clarification in professional terms since I figured a conversation face to face is better than delayed emails. The supervisor assured me I was one of their top three choices and apologized that there was a mistake with the rejection email. I probably was at the bottom of their list and the other candidates withdrew is my guess. After that interview I was ghosted and no one responded to any of my communications. The interviewers didn't seem prepared, disorganized, and they didn't answer the questions I had for them very well. One of them answered about a completely different position that the one I was applying for too. Timeline: I applied in August, screening in Oct., panel in late Nov., then third interview in Feb.

Question 1
In the screening interview: what would you be doing now if money wasn't an issue?

The interview process was thorough. First, a 1-on-1 with executive level leadership. Then a 1-on-4 panel interview. Then, should you make it, there is a 1-on-1 with the direct supervisor for the position. And finally, should you make it, there would be a 1-on-1 with the CEO. With that level of high-touch interviewing, it was disappointing to receive a canned email rejection from a generic HR address.
