I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Iceland Foods (York, England) in Oct 2023
Interview
Came in to the store for the interview, manager was lovely and asked my why I wanted to work here. Accommodating to students but was quite understaffed. Shifts were easy to pick up on and the checkout systems were easy enough to use. However, discounts were a problem when the till didnt add them on. Had plenty people coming back into the shop to re run it.

Interview
Sat in the break room until manager took me to an office. She asked 3 situational questions and then my availability. Manager didn’t seem interested or involved and kept all conversation very minimal. I had no real opportunity to describe myself as she only asked 3 basic situational questions. I’ve worked for Iceland before, but she didn’t ask anything about that. Said I’d hear off them by the end of the week but haven’t heard anything.
