The interview process at ITV for the Production Journalist position was well-structured and professional. I was invited to an interview following my application. The interview was conducted by a panel of senior journalists who were friendly and made the atmosphere quite conversational, which helped ease initial nerves. The interview lasted around 45–60 minutes and included a mix of CV-based questions and scenario-based questions. The CV questions focused on my previous journalism experience — they asked about my background in news production, examples of stories I’ve covered, and my role in shaping editorial content. The scenario questions were designed to assess how I would handle real newsroom situations.

It is straightforward and mostly about experience but some scenario-based questions. They do ask one scenario-based question that will test your knowledge of Media Law, so it is best to prepare for this.
